چکیده
We investigate the relation between the Riesz and the Baez-Duarte criterion for the Riemann Hypothesis. In particular we present the relation between the function R(x) appearing in the Riesz criterion and the sequence c k appearing in the Baez-Duarte formulation. It is shown that R(x) can expressed by c k and vice versa the sequence c k can be obtained from the values of R(x) at integer arguments. We give also some relations involving c k and R(x), in particular value of the alternating sum of c k .

متن کاملEvidence in favor of the Baez-Duarte criterion for the Riemann Hypothesis
We give formulae allowing calculation of numerical values of the numbers ck appearing in the Baez-Duarte criterion for the Riemann Hypothesis for arbitrary large k. We present plots of ck for k ∈ (1, 10).

The Riemann hypothesis is equivalent to the Li criterion governing a sequence of real constants {λk}k=1, that are certain logarithmic derivatives of the Riemann xi function evaluated at unity. We investigate a related set of constants cn, n = 1, 2, . . ., showing in detail that the leading behaviour (1/2) ln n of λn/n is absent in cn. Additional results are presented, including a novel explicit...
متن کاملA sequential Riesz-like criterion for the Riemann hypothesis
Let c k := k j=0 (−1) j k j (1/ζ(2 j + 2)). We prove that the Riemann hypothesis is equivalent to c k k −3/4+ for all > 0; furthermore, we prove that c k k −3/4 implies that the zeros of ζ(s) are simple. This is closely related to M. Riesz's criterion which states that the Riemann hypothesis is equivalent to ∞ k=1 ((−1) k+1 x k /(k − 1)!ζ(2k)) x 1/4+ as x → +∞, for all > 0.

Criterion for the Riemann hypothesis found by Báez-Duarte involves certain real coefficients ck defined as alternating binomial sums. These coefficients can be effectively investigated using Rice’s integrals. Their behavior exhibits typical trend (due to trivial zeros of zeta) and fading oscillations (due to complex zeros). This method enables to calculate ck for large values of k at least to k...
